Description
One assignment I wish I had completed. This is an unfinished piece that I doubt will ever be completed (I've actually forgotten what colors I was using, and would hate to mess it up). The head is rendered to completion. The sheer amount of time it took to get this far gave me a better understanding of why artists like Robert Bateman takes weeks (if not months) to complete a single image. Photorealistic fur is a pain in the ass to fret over. I would have to say that seeing the head in it's finality (or not) makes me want to complete the image. Maybe I won't let it die.

Very cute and nice hybrid cross. Beautiful rendering of the Bunk's head. Nice depth and realizm. I really like the contrast of colors that you have achieved. Too bad it will never be finished it is a lovely piece. The expression is wonderful and the posing is great, it gives a nice over view of what this hybrid would look like from that back shot concerning patterning, wing size and 'perching' ability.
